0 Patch Single and Video Release

  • 11/11/2013
  • James Merrix
  • · News

Today we’re releasing a new recording and video of our song “Patch” from The Lights of Distorted Science. It was written in tribute to Harry Patch, who until his death in 2009 was the last person to actually experience the horrors of trench warfare in the First World War. Now that he’s gone it’s important that we make the effort to remember, because we can’t let those in power make the same mistakes again.

All the proceeds from the single will be donated to the Royal British Legion.

Download the single from the Captain Horizon Store.

We’re pleased to announce that we’re playing four dates across the Midlands in July!

We’re heading out on tour with our good friends Twisted Species along with Resin and Evolution of Man. Opening with a headline show at Eddie’s Rock Club in Birmingham on the 19th of July, the other stops will see us playing at The Greyhound in Hinckley (20th of July), The Pig and Drum in Worcester (26th of July) and the Heygate in Telford (27th of July).

Quite aside from the excitement of playing a massive rock show at Eddie’s, we’re very excited to be playing in three towns across the Midlands we’ve never visited before!

But that’s not all! It was recently brought to our attention that our second EP, Radiostasis, is now two years old (they grow up so fast, don’t they?).

To celebrate, here’s a free download of the time we performed the EP live and in full on BBC West Midlands.
