As 2011 draws to a close, we’ve got four dates left this before we go away to finish the album.
Upcoming dates are Thursday 8th December at the Roadhouse Birmingham, supporting our very good friends Dakesis. We’re also making a headline appearence at Woodys Music bar on Saturday 10th December.
Followed by Friday 16th December, supporting Frantic Empire and Signify (the last gig with their current line up) at The End in Birmingham.
Our last gig of 2011 will be at The Railway Hotel in Evesham with support from The Vanguard. We hope to see you there!
The album recording has been progressing very well and we’re currently around 60% of the way through the process. We’re extremely happy with the initial feel and sound that has been captured during the sessions – we can’t wait to share it with you all!

Captain Horizon have just been confirmed to play at Route 44, The Inn On The Green in Birmingham on Friday 24th July. Captain Horizon will be headlining, with support from Ricardo Thompson.
It’s going to be our last gig till September, so make sure you take this opportunity to come and see us before we have our gigging break and head into the studio record the EP. Our merchandise will be on sale, so take the opportunity to get your T-Shirt, stickers and badges!

Captain Horizon are in Nottingham this Friday playing at the Tap and Tumbler. We’ve also been continually confirming dates for the duration of the year, including dates at the Pavilion and the Shed in Leicester.
News of a three track EP will be announced shortly.

Captain Horizon are due very shortly to record our first EP that is going to be available to the public. Recording is to start very soon.
Amongst ourselves, we are debating which three tracks out of our repitioure we should have feature on the EP.

Our next gigs are scheduled for the 12th and 13th June at the Pavilion in Leicester and The Greyhound, Beeston respectively. Details on these dates will be available shortly.
Just a quick note to say we’ve been asked to play The Madhouse Bar at the Madhouse Rehearsal studios in Birmingham.
Siginify are headlining the evening, we will also be playing with Crashpoint and GT-Zero.
The doors open at 7:30 and it’s £4 to get in.
Any minute now we will be trundling off to Glastonbudget 2009!

The band played two brand new songs for the first time, the punchy Jack Herer and the heartfelt ballad Make Believe.
If you didn’t manage to catch the band this time round, they’ve got some upcoming gigs on 16th May at the Three Crowns in Wymeswold, and on 17th May at The Robin in Wolverhampton.
The band have been busy over the past few weeks recording 9 band new tracks and you should be able to hear them very soon.
Finally, Captain Horizon are also confirmed to play at Glastonbudget, Europe’s biggest tribute and new music festival, on Sunday 24th May (check out the Captain Horizon Glastonbudget page!) You can buy tickets for Glastonbudget online here, so come along, support the band and hear loads of other new acts too!
