Tap & Tumbler – Nottingham
Captain Horizon are to make their first appearance of the year in Nottingham at the Tap & Tumbler this Friday.
We would also like to thank everyone who supported us through the first stage of the surface unsigned festival. We’ve made it though to the next stage of the festival which is going to be held on the Saturday 8th May.

Surface Unsigned Festival – Stage 1
Captain Horizon’s Surface Unsigned Festival debut kicks off on Saturday 20th February at the Flapper and Firkin, Birmingham.
Tickets are £6 and are available from us, if you want us to reserve you a ticket, please email tickets@captainhorizon.co.uk
You can also text in your vote to help us progress further into the latter stages of the festival. To do this you need to text Midlands 3115 to 64343.
Black Country Battle of the Bands Winners!
Captain Horizon won the Black Country Battle of the Bands at Base Studios on Friday night.It was an awesome competition with 5 other brilliant bands.
This week sees Captain Horizon performing at the O2 Academy in Birmingham on Tuesday and the Surface Unsigned Festival first round heat at the Flapper and Firkin on Saturday night.

Black Country Battle of the Bands Final – Friday 12th February
Captain Horizon are going to be appearing at the Black Country Battle of the Bands final at Base Studios in Stourbridge on Friday 12th February.
The final features 6 bands in all. Spearmint 6, Synopsis, Behind Closes Doors, Ascendance and Frozen Theory.
Doors open at 7pm with £4 admission. See you there!

Come and join Captain Horizon today, Saturday 30th for the launch of our EP at the Actress and Bishop, next to St Pauls square in Birmingham. We’ll be playing all the tracks from the EP, plus some more and there’ll be support from Sence, The Naked Youth and Dreamers Nightmares. It should be a kicking night – music, beer, champagne and a few awesome bands. And EPs for sale! So come on down, we love packing the place out and it’s awesome to see faces, new and familliar.

Captain Horizon will be featured on BBC Radio WM tonight between 11pm and 12pm on the BBC Introducing show as well as CRMK Online between 10pm-12pm.

EP Launch Party at the Actress and Bishop This Saturday!

Thanks to everyone at the O2 academy 3 last night, we had a great time and it was awesome to see such a great crowd! We were overwhelmed by the response and it really made our night.
O2 Academy 3 Tonight!
Captain Horizon will be appearing at the O2 Academy 3 tonight supporting Doors Alive. Doors open at 7pm, with Captain Horizon on stage at 7:30pm. Admission is £10, if you email tickets@captainhorizon.co.uk we can get you half price on admission.
We would also like to announce that we made it through to the grand finals of the Black Country Battle of the Bands competition, the final is held on Friday 12th February at Base Studios in Stourbridge.
Don’t forget this Saturday it is our EP launch party! We are performing a headline set at the Actress & Bishop in Birmingham, more details on how to obtain tickets will be out early in the week.
Black Country Battle of the Bands – Semi Finals!
Captain Horizon are in the semi finals of the Black Country Battle of the Bands competition (BCbotb), which is going to take place on Friday 22nd January. We will be competiting with 6 other bands for a place in the final.
