Thanks to all of those who came out to support Captain Horizon at the Old Wharf on Saturday night!

The band played two brand new songs for the first time, the punchy Jack Herer and the heartfelt ballad Make Believe.
If you didn’t manage to catch the band this time round, they’ve got some upcoming gigs on 16th May at the Three Crowns in Wymeswold, and on 17th May at The Robin in Wolverhampton.
The band have been busy over the past few weeks recording 9 band new tracks and you should be able to hear them very soon.
Finally, Captain Horizon are also confirmed to play at Glastonbudget, Europe’s biggest tribute and new music festival, on Sunday 24th May (check out the Captain Horizon Glastonbudget page!) You can buy tickets for Glastonbudget online here, so come along, support the band and hear loads of other new acts too!
Captain Horizon Live tonight at the Old Wharf in Digbeth! Door open at 7pm and it’s free entry!

Fantastic gig last night at the Shed and as a result we’ve been invited to play at Glastonbudget this year. We’re extremely excited!
This week, we are heading back to the Old Wharf in Digbeth to headline the venue that saw the birth of Captain Horizon.
May is looking busy on the gig front with 6 shows lined up so far.
More details about the Old Wharf gig will be revealed later this week.
We’re playing at the Shed in Leicester on Sunday 19th April as part of our Glastonbudget audition.
We will be on stage at 7:30pm. Hope to see you there!
Time for a more in depth update I think! Firstly, a big thank you to those people who made the trip the Leicester on Friday to support us at the Shed.
We’ve been very busy writing even more material and now have around another 9 tracks ready to record over the Easter period.
A big thanks to everyone who came out to support us at the battle last weekend, and congrats to Signify who are going on to the final! We had a wicked time at our best gig yet, from the first chiming notes of Turn Away to the final stabs that close Poker.
It’s a busy time for Captain Horizon at the moment. Lots of gigs means we’re really getting a handle on our set, and thanks to our audiences we’re having a great time performing it to you. Next week we’re off to the East Midlands for our first out of town gig, where we’ll be playing with the venerable Mars Bonfire (http://www.myspace.com/marsbonfirespace) at the Shed in Leicester!
Then we’re taking three weeks off to work on a new batch of songs, before playing our EP Launch party at the old Wharf on April 25th. It’s gonna be a blast so come down and enjoy yourselves!
See you there folks!
Following their success in their Banks’ Battle of the Bands heat in February, Captain Horizon are through to the semi-finals and the time for battle is almost upon us!
They will be battling two other bands this Saturday, 14th March from 7pm at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall bar.
You can check out the event on Facebook here or add it to your MySpace calendar if that’s your thing.
Tickets can be purchased from the band or through this website for £4 by clicking the shiny ‘Buy Now’ button on the right of the page. Tickets can also be bought on the door on the night for £5.
